Steven D. Rubin has been practicing law in California since 1991 and established his own practice in 2000. Steve provides legal advice to a variety of business clients, including start-ups, privately held companies, and small to mid-size businesses. Steve prefers to work closely with his clients, presenting each client with legal options and advice on an individual basis. Steve is semi-fluent in Spanish and endeavors to meet the needs of the Spanish speaking business community. By investing in bi-lingual staff, Stave has dedicated a large portion of resources at the law firm to assisting the Spanish speaking businessperson.
Steve believes in contributing to the community and volunteers his time, money, and legal expertise to a number of organizations and causes. He serves the community as General Counsel to the Universal City / North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. In addition, as General Counsel for the Unatti Foundation, Steve provides legal advice to a charitable organization providing needed care and shelter to orphaned and underprivileged children in Nepal.
Steve Rubin has spent most of his life living and working in Los Angeles, California. Below is a short timeline of relevant events and personal achievements.
- Steve was born in Syracuse, New York in 1958.
- His family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1960.
- Steve graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1976, and went on to attend the University of California where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1983.
- In 1987 Steve enrolled in the Pepperdine University School of Law.
- In 1990 Steve received his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine and passed the California bar exam.
After passing the California bar exam Steve enrolled in the Masters of Laws in Taxation program at Georgetown University Law Center. Steve was awarded his Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Georgetown in May of 1991. Steve then returned to California to practice law. After many years working with firms in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, in the year 2000 the doors opened to Steve's own law practice located with offices in Santa Monica and the San Fernando Valley.
Steve lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children. When not assisting clients, Steve spends time with his family, plays guitar, and writes music. In addition to his wife and children, Steve's hobbies include reading Guitar Player Magazine, listening to the Allman Brothers Band, listening to great guitar players of all styles, watching ESPN, riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles (its been awhile), a good cigar, expresso, coffee and chocolate.
